Obituary of Ian Laverne Veinot

Please share a memory of Ian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ian Laverne Veinot, 64 of New Ross, passed away peacefully in his home, with his family by his side, on November 17, 2018. He was the son of the late Maxwell and Shirley Veinot.

Ian was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, son and grandfather.  He was a dedicated and fun-loving man, with a giving heart.  When he was not working as a plumber or spending time with his wife and family, he could be found doing home improvements, helping others or spending time tinkering in the garage.  His passion was racing and working on race cars.  He loved spending time with his sons and racing buddies at the Greenfield Dragway.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jo; sons Wayne of New Ross; David (Jennifer) of South Alton; his beloved grandchildren Jade, Saege, Ava and Liam; brothers Glenn (Anne); Derrick (Florence); Bruce (Gail); Dana (Coleen); sisters Joyce (Murray); Holly (Robbie); mother-in-law Eva Hiltz; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ian was predeceased by his father-in-law Carl Hiltz.

It is a blessing to know he is now at peace; racing in Heaven, one quarter mile at a time.
