Working along side of Dave was always comical. He always had a sligh grin and something whitty to say . But he also helped me with the in's and outs if buying property. And then i had the opportunity to care for him and we instantly joked when he found out I was his caregiver that day. I will always rember him fondly.
Sending my thoughts and condolences

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I got to know Dave when he worked at Kingstec. That's when I discovered that he and my mother went to school together as children and he always asked about her whenever I saw him. He was a kind and gentle man who always had a warm smile for everyone. He will be missed. My condolences to his loved ones.

You were such a big part of my life, you were there before sarah was born and u watched her growing up, my condolences to your family and friends. Our lives are so much better for you having touched them. Working with you was the best time I ever had, us making strawberry jam on night shift, cooking inch thick pork chops at 3am on the bbq, bacon and tomatoe sandwiches when tomatoes were in season waking the residents up to us giggling abd trying to b quiet, u got me hooked on the weather network but not country western music ugh. You hated the squirells but liked the globe and mail and your favorite kfc so here is to you buddy i rais my cup of tea and have some kfc again ugh in your on honor "ill catch you later buddy". Karen and Sarah.

My sympathies for a man who made a big impact on not just me, but to many of us in the postal service. My own time with him was short as I only knew him as the Chief Instructor while attending a couple of early courses, but his knowledge, his humour, and his sense of community demonstrated what it meant to be as a new Postie. He eagerly welcomed us with open arms, adding us to the ball teams, bringing us to unit events and making us feel like part of a bigger family. He was quite open with sharing his memories and experiences, allowing us to use that as a foundation to build on as we joined what we considered to be the best job in the Forces.
On behalf of the Postal family to another in this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers to not just a great Postie but to a great man.

To the family of the late Dave Parker.
My deepest and most sincere condolences on the loss of your loved one.
I first met Dave when he came to work at the Kentville Research Centre as a Commissionaire. We came to discover that we had a number of commonalities, including military friends and aquaintances. He was the hardest working man I knew in the area with his multitude on apartments plus his work as a commissionaire, I often wondered where he found the time to rest. He was always willing to a shift change whenever needed for any reason. Dave was the type of person one could depend on whenever the need arose. He will be sorely missed my many.
Once again, please accept my most heartfelt and deepest sympathies in this time of sorrow.
Phil Jarvis, former commissionaire

Dave worked at the Research Station in Kentville as our commissionnaire. Always had a smile and greeting for you. He was the dearest, kindest, person and although I did not know him as well as some, he left an impression on me.
Deepest sympathies to his family and his partner in life Ida.
