Obituary of John Gordon Lake

It is with great sadness that the family of John Gordon Lake  announce his sudden passing at home in Belmont on January 28, 2019. Born in Belmont he was a son of Gordon, Dykeland Lodge, Windsor and the late Louise (Levy) Lake.

John was the owner and operator of Lake's Automotive Repair for 25 plus years. He enjoyed drives in his '69 Satellite with his wife of 44 years, watching and attending car races and shows. John loved the company of his family and friends and was always happy to lend a hand.

He is survived by his wife, Shelley (Hunter); sons, Steven (Shawna) Lake, Falmouth; Wade (Jodi) Lake, Windsor; grandsons, Dawson and Ethan Lake and granddaughter, Josie; brother, Neil Lake; sisters, Terry (Graham) Hart, MaryAnn (Larry) Baxter, Susan Lake, Gloria Brown, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his mother he was predeceased by his sisters, Margaret, Pamela (in infancy); brother, Andrew.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 2nd from 2-6 p.m. in Brooklyn Civic Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
