In my younger days, a friendship with Sian often brought me to the Ross household in Kentville, where he and Catherine, Sian, Lindsay and Beth often made me feel part of the family. Claire was newly married at the time before I moved to work in Ontario.
In later years, about ten years ago, I befriended Ian at our early morning Catholic Cursillo men's prayer group, and visited his home in Park Street then. Ian was always a gentleman, an interesting conversationalist, and to my mind was a man after God's heart. I hadn't known this in my earlier acquaintance, and it is a comfort to me at his passing. He shared family regrets over the breakup of his family, and we prayed for everyone he loved.
Unfortunately I am unable to attend his burial today. I would have loved to have reconnected with those he loved. God bless him, and my deep sympathy and prayers go to Christine
and his wonderful children.

Sorry for your loss Chris and family. Ian was a very special man to Stephanie and I. When Stephanie and I lived in Bridgewater, Ian came down and helped Stephanie with an "Owl" project. He even went to her school and done a presentation. We will never forget him xoxo

I met Ian many years ago when I was a new teacher in Canning. I taught several of his daughters and he volunteered his time and expertise to come into my classroom. It was easy to see Ian had a passion for his career and enthusiasm to share his knowledge. My condolences to Ian's family.
