Obituary of Glen Thurston Rafuse

It is with great sadness that we the family of Glen Rafuse, age 67 of Clementsvale  announce his passing on January 23, 2019.  Born in Annapolis Royal, he was the oldest son of Leon and Twila (Longmire) Rafuse of Youngs Cove.

Glen started work at United Elastic in Bridgetown at the age of 17, and continued on at Britex where he was employed for 28 years and worked his way up to Supervisor. He then went to work as a car salesman for Motor  Mart in Yarmouth, which became Murray GM, where his worked for 22-years.  Glen loved both of these jobs and his co-workers.

Glen loved going on his four-wheeler back to the camp and he loved hunting and fishing.  He was a member of the Clementsvale United Baptist Church.

Glen is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn (Wamboldt); their children Jennifer, Jamie (Jaimie), Alberta; Marina (Craig) Cook, Clementsvale; grandchildren Andrew, Travis, Mackenzie and Ashley; siblings Craig (Edith) Rafuse, Heather Rafuse, Crystal (Herbie) Taylor, Jeffrey Rafuse and Melissa (Kirk) Longmire; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by an infant grandson and his parents.

The family would like to express our sincere Thank You to Jeff Little and Rhonda Dawe from Murray GM and James, Jean and staff of the Coastal Inn in Digby for all that they have done for us, we appreciate so much what you have done.

A service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clementsvale Cemetery Fund or a charity of ones choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
