Don and I worked together at the OPP Detachment in Noelville (a three man detachment near the French River south of Sudbury). We had a great time working and living together in the late 1960s. We did see Don and Doreen a few years ago when we were visiting my wife’s relatives in Stewiacke. Really sorry to learn that they have both passed away.

Donna and Family,
Our deepest sympathies to you and your family in the loss of your dad. Don was a very good friend to my father throughout the years and a familiar face dad enjoyed seeing in his later years with Dementia. Your father was a kind, well liked, and considerate man whom many will miss. May it be some comfort to know others share your sorrow and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

The time I spent with you all so many years ago was special to me and I think of you often. I have been recently trying to reconnect with your father and was shocked when I heard. It was just a couple weeks ago I sat with him at Tim Hortons. He introduced me as his third son to the people he was sitting with. I gave him a hug before I left for work. Your father was a kind and special man. He was my friend. I enjoyed hearing his stories especially the ones from the OPP. I will miss him dearly.
I know that no matter where you are, he will continue to watch over you.
Prayers and fond memories are what we have to remember. May the love of family and friends comfort you during these difficult days.
Please accept our most heartfelt condolences. Do not hesitate to reach out, especially during this difficult time.
Wishing you God’s peace.
Randy and Roberta

I was so saddened to hear the news of my sweet neighbor’s passing while I’m away. I enjoyed our chats when you’d pop over to enjoy a bonfire. You’d always lend a hand, share a story or offer advice. I thought it was adorable when you’d ride your lawnmower over to see what renovation of the month we’d be working on. You will be missed.

Don was the ultimate big brother for Jeanne. As somewhat foolish teenagers, he interceded for us and made us feel special. In later years, he arranged for Jeanne and I to reconnect. I also had the pleasure of meeting up with Don at Pete’s summer party!! RIP, Don, you were an officer and a gentleman.
