Obituary of James Arnold Banks

James Arnold Banks, 82 of Fundy Villa in Berwick, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 in the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton.  He was the son of Lindsay Banks, Sr. and Neta (Ward) Banks.

He is survived by daughters Donna (Wayne) Carter, Coldbrook; Shirley Banks, Greenwood; Linda (Charles) MacInnis, Hall’s Harbour; Peggy (David) MacInnis, Canning; Tina Banks, Kingston; brothers Richard and Donald, Prince George, BC; sisters Geraldine, Prince George, BC; Lillian and Pauline, Berwick; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

James was predeceased by his wife Marie (Carey); brothers Gerald, Lindsay and Ivan.

Cremation has taken place as per James’ wishes. A visitation for family and close friends will take place on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the Berwick Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, NS, B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900).
