Obituary of Stephen Austin Morehouse

Stephen Morehouse, 72 of Sandy Cove, Digby County, NS, passed away on July 1, 2019. Born September 6, 1946; he was the son of Austin and Clara (Gidney) Morehouse.

He is survived by wife Myrna (DeAmbrose); son Glenn; granddaughter Sarah; and brother Brian, Calgary, AB.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother Glenn.

He was in the Air Force, worked for the Department of Fisheries and was a fisherman for many years.

Stephen was a kind, friendly and witty man, who made you laugh and left you with a smile and his “opinion”.  He greatly enjoyed his fishing and camping friends. He will be greatly missed by many.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Digby Neck Fire Hall, Sandy Cove. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Interment to take place in the Zion United Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
