Please share a memory of Alexandria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Alexandria "Sandy" Cecilia Doucette, 63, of Halifax.  It is with broken hearts we announce the tragic loss of our sister, aunt, and dear friend, Sandy on Monday, July 22, 2019 in Halifax. Sandy was born May 1, 1956 to the late Teddy and Gemma (Gillis) Doucette of Ingonish Beach.

Sandy was a dedicated MT&T/Bell Aliant employee for 35 years. Her purpose in life was to care for and give to others. She was generous with her time helping seniors, volunteering at the CNIB and SPCA, and lending a hand to family, friends, and anyone in need. She loved and cared for her loyal companions, dogs Joey and Sheba.

Sandy is survived by her brothers Bill, George, Leo, Lloyd (Dale), Greg, TJ (Brandi); sisters Ivetta (Dennis), Debbie, Della (JJ); step-mother Bunny; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her second family, Ralph, Effie, Joanne, and Karen Humble, and their families; and her dear friends Mel, Dora and Ted, Marion, Helen and Donnie.

Sandy was predeceased by her parents; sister in infancy, Nicole; brothers-in-law Dennis Whitty and JJ Tonet; and step-father Gordon Doucette.

A Celebration of this Beautiful Life will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Brightwood Golf & Country Club. A burial in Ingonish will follow at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the CNIB or SPCA.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
