Clyde Richard Guptill, 84 of Lockhartville passed away on September 4, 2019 in his home with his beloved wife, Marion and daughter Brenda by his side.  He was the son of the late Roy and Jessie (Kelly) Guptill.

Clyde worked from an early age, starting with Haliburton’s Farm, then L. E. Shaw Masonry, onto Acadia Dairy, and finally retiring from Minas Basin Pulp and Power (Hantsport) after 25 years.

He was a very proud grandfather and absolutely treasured his granddaughter, Georgia.  Clyde always had a good story to share with others and he could remember details of events like no one else.  He was liked by all and enjoyed life to the fullest.

He will be missed; but remembered with a smile – so to should we all remember him.

His is survived by his loving wife Marion (Beatty) Guptill; daughter Brenda (David) Mingo, Truro; sisters Bernice (Robert) Newcomb, Hantsport; Myrtle (Murray) Cook, Avonport; Joan (Maurice) Belisle of Moose Jaw, SK; his pride and joy, granddaughter Georgia Mingo; nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Albert, Vernon, Eldon, Stewart, Morris and Gordon.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Wolfville Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Lockhartville Baptist Church.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street, Wolfville, B4P 1E5 (902-542-4656).
