Obituary of John William Weissent

John William “Bill” Weissent, age 76, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2019 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII.

Bill had been employed by the Volvo Plant and spent the last 25 years of employment with Casino Taxi. He was a lifetime member of Brightwood Golf Club.

He is survived by his friend Linda Jamieson; his brother David (Judy); and nephews Scott, Trevor and their children.

He was predeceased by his father and mother William "Bill" and Marguerite Weissent (of Spryfield).

At Bill's request cremation has taken place. There will be no public visitation; a graveside family service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18th in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. No flowers; memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
