Our sympathy to the Skinner family at this time of sorrow. I remember visiting in the home with my father Leland Potter, as he would come and visit John's mother, "Mother Skinner", as dad often referred to her. My you experience practically that God is a God of all comfort (2 Cor. 1: 3).

Loved John's chalk Art. Remember his son, when he was younger, helping John. It is a case of when a Christian passes on to glory that there is rejoicing in sadness. He is now with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and those of us who have a personal relationship with Christ will see John again.

My sincere condolences to the Skinner family. John was an amazing man. I loved joking with him. He always had a devilish grin. Sometimes he laughed so hard his face turned red. I will miss him dearly. R.I.P John I will never forget you ❤

I remember John as my Sunday School teacher at the Weston Hall many years ago. Our paths kept crossing over the years, including his work for the Weston School Reunion and at Grand View Manor. It was a privilege to have been his neighbour. Our condolences to Marie and family.

John was a pleasure to care for during his stay at Blomidon Court.
Many nights while doing rounds I would find him sitting on the edge of his bed. I would joke with him about being up to no good and to quit his monkey business. He would give me the sweetest smirk as if to say "dang it, you caught me" .
His genuine smile and quirky smirk I will definitely remember for some time.
Rest easy John ,

My condolences on the death of John. I remember him as a gentle, quiet man who was a regular on the Bookmobile when we had a stop in Weston. He once borrowed a book on building bird, bat, and butterfly houses and I commented that I would like to have a bat house someday to keep the bugs at bay. When he returned the book, John surprised me with a bat house he had built for me. I will always remember him when I see that bat house, still in use here at our house in Canaan.

My condolences to John’s family. I worked with John years ago when he worked with Hiltz and Seamone Engineering, I thoroughly enjoyed working with him on many projects, we would talk for hours about our profession, he was very dedicated to his Career and to his Family, he will be missed by many folks that he touched in his life, I am recalling many great conversations that we had. Rest well John.

I have many fond memories of travelling on a yearly basis with my parents to John and Marie’s for our annual visit and camp out in their yard. Dad and John would have many long walks and talks about tractors and gardening. I will never forget going to the basement to see the model trains. I send my sincere sympathies to all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers today and always. Please give your mom a hug for me
