I'm so very lost and shocked of the passing of a great person. I first had the pleasure of meeting Dave and his family when our children went to the same daycare. We managed to keep in touch over the years and loved to stop and catch up in his office at NSCC. Mostly talks about our kids and how proud we are of them. We shared a love of collecting Coke memorabilia and usually Dave being the great guy he was would say here take one of these I have 2.
You will be sadly missed my friend. May you rest in peace and thank you for allowing me to be your friend.

My dear Krista
Even though we do not know each other, I want to extend a sincere condolence to you and your family. We work indirectly with one another and I just found out today the connection. There are no words that can be spoken to take away your pain, and you will come to your closure on your time, but please know that you are not alone. Remember all the fond memories, and take comfort in the warmth they may bring you.

I have always been inspired by the amount of talent that David showed. There was nothing that he could not do. David was always helping others and there was a specific time the David and Ben stopped to offer their help when I was stuck in the snow in my driveway. So very kind. David, you will certainly be missed.

Dear Sister Georgie & Brother Charlie
Please accept my sincere sympathy in the recent passing of your son David. It is tragic that he was called away from you so young. I didn't know him but he sounded like an awesome person and someone I would have enjoyed knowing.
When my cousin Rhona died suddenly many years ago my Aunt Belle said that something no mother should ever have to do in her lifetime is bury one of her children. I have not forgotten her words and my heart aches for you.
Cherish his memory and he will live forever in your hearts.
Please extend my sympathy to his wife and children and to the rest of your family.
With sympathy, understanding and love

Krista,
It was with great sadness that I heard about David's passing. I will always remember his great love of the outdoors. It was a blessing when you both came along to our Cub Pack at a time of need. I am very thankful for everything you both did for the young people in our community. Yes, it was like planning a birthday party every week. :) You were a great team.
Please accept sincere condolences from Sue and I at this difficult time. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

David and Krista befriended is when we first got to Canada 12 yrs ago. David always knew what to do and if he didn’t he knew someone who did. He was always willing to help and was so kind and generous. We are devastated by his untimely departure.
They say ‘only the good die young’ well 56 is young and David was definitely GOOD so this adage is 100% true.
Safe travels David for your next adventure, you will be so greatly missed.

Krista, Kaitlyn, Ben, Charlie and Georgie, and all of the family,
We are sending our heartfelt sympathies in the passing of your beloved David.
It was always evident that Dave absolutely adored his family. He would also never fail to take the time to say hello with a warm smile and a compliment, given in his own kind way.
During the past two summers in Fox Harbour, we had fond moments reminiscing about growing up in our hometown of Trenton, NS.
Be assured of our prayers for comfort as you struggle through this most difficult loss.

To Krista & Family....... Peter Currie is my name. Please accept my sincerest condolences. I am the past owner of BCT Atlantic, a wholesale print company, situated in Dartmouth, NS. I first met David in late 2005 and from that time forward David and I became very good friends....not just business acquaintances. From the very beginning whenever David and I met it was always as friends. He always made you feel (and for that matter any of my employees feel) as though we were his "buddy". David played an important role in the development of our company so much so that NSCC became our single largest account over the years. During the 13 years of owning BCT Atlantic I met with David many times and he always had the time for a chat. He was such an easy person to talk to and to deal with. I remember the day I met with David and other NSCC staff to break the news that I was going to sell BCT and retire. It was the only time during my travels with the new owner that I actually broke down. David was there to console me, congratulate me on a job well done over the years and reinforced that retirement was for me and to move on positively. I am actually choking up writing this. David will be missed by so many people of which I am one.

In life you meet very few people like Dave and you are the better for having met him.
He was a genuine, thoughtful, caring person who brought those qualities from his personal life to his business life.

We are so heartbroken for you all. Dave was such a significant, larger than life, presence in every space he entered. It is so difficult to imagine a world without this warm, loving, kind, generous, wise, and jovial man. We were some of the privileged that he allowed into his circle of friends and family. From the day we moved in next to you he was always willing to offer his hand, his advice, and his expertise. It didn’t take long for us to realize that he knew a little about a lot of things! We enjoyed his sense of humour and we treasured his friendship. He has left and enduring mark on our hearts and we will miss him dearly. Very few people come into your life over time that can have the impact that Dave had.
May God give you all the strength you need as the days and weeks pass. May your many memories serve as a comfort to you all.
With our love, your friends, Bob & Shawna
