Frank was always a gentle man and lots of happy times were spent with him in his home, on skidoos, dancing at the Lion's Club, poker nights with the club and picnics on the bay of Fundy with the gang. A long time ago. His kindness and generosity and sense of humour will always be remembered.

Dear Joan and Gerald,
What happy memories I have of living next door to Frank and Gerald's parents who planted a little blueberry plantation at the back of our properties on Union St............the bounty of which we shared for many years. The fragrance of Berwick Bakery's bread, wafting into our backyard was ever present and homey. I babysat Frank and Joan's children at times in high school, and found them to be lovely people. Berwick has lost one of its sons, of whom it can be very proud.

Joan and Family:
I just read of Frank's passing. Frank contributed greatly to our community. I recall the many dances you and Frank attended often requesting 'Sentimental Journey' to be played by Sandra and I in our band. The past few years have been difficult for you and your family. Your fond memories will remain forever.
My sincere sympathy,
Bill W.

Joan and family..... Our hearts are sad for you all at this time. It is never easy to say goodbye.
From Lynn....I remember “Mr. Bezanson” as a huge presence in our community of Berwick, from being a Dad to Rick, Susan, Nancy and Jane, his connection to the bakery, to Joan and Frank attending social events with Mom and Dad (Audrey and Wylie). May your hearts be at peace soon with all of the happy moments you spent together and the memories you share.

Dear Joan, Rick, Nancy, Sue and Jane …
I am sorry to hear that Frank has died. I know that the last few months have not been easy. When I read Frank’s obituary, I could not help but think what an impact he had on Berwick and the people who live there. It’s wonderful to think that the business he ran with Uncle Gerald became such an important part of the wider community and is no doubt part of what makes Berwick so friendly a place. The last time I saw Frank at home, he was on his way to do some errands and Joan was baking one of her now-world-famous confections … it was a peaceful domestic moment that made me think of my own parents. Frank always reminded me of my father, whose serious and sometimes-stern outward demeanour belies a playful sense of humour, deep compassion for others and love of a good laugh. I imagine that Frank was a bit like that. It was also interesting to read that Frank was a green thumb and a dog lover, qualities he has certainly shared with Birdie. And, of course, I am sill trying to perfect my version of "Frank's Baked Beans" which might have been a Saturday standard in your house, but are certainly more finicky than one might think!
I am so grateful to have had a chance to meet Frank and get to know the Bezansons over the past years. Yours is a beautiful family and I am sure Frank was proud of that.
Much love,
MaryPat
