David Earl Flemming, 80, passed away peacefully at Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville, Nova Scotia on April 6, 2020.  Prior to his time at Evergreen Home, he was a resident at Camro Place, in Cambridge, Nova Scotia.  He was the son of the late Bradford and Beatrice (Ryer) Flemming.

David worked as a lighthouse keeper for 35 years and tended light at Seal Island Lighthouse, Yarmouth Cape Forchu, and Gull Rock in Lockeport.  He ended his career at CFB Greenwood.  He was also a faithful member of the Coldbrook Baptist Church. 

David was a proud husband and father and is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mona Flemming (Perry); son, Marc (Rachel) Flemming; grandchildren, Jacqueline (Mark) Fenton, Jeanette (Joshua) Thompson and Jordan Flemming; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Malachi and Luke; sister, Helen; and brother, Garry. 

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Jeffrey Earl Flemming, in July of 2019; sister Joyce in 2016, brother Bradford in 2018.

Arrangements have been postponed until a later date to be announced. Memorial donations may be made to charity of choice.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
