Many pleasant memories of Jean. Such a sweet lady.
Enjoyed seeing her in the Avonport Church.
Our thoughts go to all of her Family.
Her Committal Service was so comforting. How fitting to have a perfect Spring day, with nature at it’s best.
Wishing you peace and comfort in the days ahead and continued strength from our Lord.

Dear family: You have lost a wonderful, caring, gentle Mother. She and Charlie were faithful members of the Avonport Baptist Church. Her health prevented her from attending in late years, but her heart was still there. When we visited her in the nursing home, she still had that positive attitude and friendly smile. Blessings to all. xoxox

Condolences to my family for our loss. I will miss Aunt Jean and share your sorrow and grief, and though normally I would come to Nova Scotia for this sad occasion - the current situation does not allow this. So I will keep you all in my thoughts and to a time when we will remember the life of someone so loved with gladness and fond memories but that day is far away and for the time being I offer this poem to share your pain.
I Never Saw Your Wings
By an Unknown Author
How is it that I never saw your wings
when you were here with me?
When you closed your eyes and soared
to the Heavens I could hear the
faint flutter of you wings as you left.
Your body no longer on this side
your spirit here eternally I see your halo shine.
I close my eyes and see the multi-colored wings
surround me in my saddest moments and my happiest times.
Mother my angel God has given you your assignment
always my mother forever my angel.
You fly into my dreams and when I am asleep
I feel your wings brush against my face wiping away
the tears I shed since I can no longer hold
you in my arms but in my heart.
You earned those wings dear mother
and you will always be me angel eternal.

To my nieces and nephews I share your sorrow. Soon, all older
ones like me will have left of family members will be memories.
It is comfort to know there is a next generation to carry on beliefs,
values and examples set and lived by grandparents before us.
Psalm 29:11 tells us - "The Lord will give strength unto His people;
the Lord will bless His people with peace."
Love and Prayers always - Aunt Annie

To all of Jean’s family we offer our deepest sympathy. As a fellow citizen of Avonport I have known Jean most of my life. She was a very kind and loving person. It was a joy to once again worship with Jean at Blomidon Court. She was looking forward to having Avonport Church Choir sing at one of our services. Unfortunately, COVID -19 prevented her from coming to Ladies Bkfst with me in March. Praying God will comfort you and that precious memories will warm your hearts.
