Obituary of Beverly Jean Cyr

Please share a memory of Beverly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Beverly Cyr, 79 of Marshalltown, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2020 in the Digby Regional Hospital. She was the loving daughter of the late Clyde and Alice (Langdale) Haight.

She was such a beautiful soul.

Beverly enjoyed being a homemaker, adored her family and spent as much time with them as life would allow.  She relished in being a grandmother and treated each of her grandchildren as individuals.  From the time the grandchildren were young and through their growth, she would adapt to all of their interests. Leaving her Children and Grandchildren all with special memories to carry them forward, she will live on forever through her teachings.

She relished in being out dancing with family and friends, on a Saturday night at the local Fish n Game, enjoyed a friendly game of cards, or just spending time with the people she loved. Beverly would light up any room with her smile and fun-loving personality. Christmas was her favorite time of year, she took pride in her perfectly decorated Christmas tree and wrapping the most beautiful presents for her family.

Beverly was an Avon reprehensive in her later years of life. She truly enjoyed the interaction with the customers that she served and it was on her mind right until the last days of her life.

Even in her last days as unwell as she must have felt, she remained upbeat and cheery.

She is survived by her sons Kevin (Leona) Haight, Steven Haight and Chris (Carol) Cyr; daughter Janice (Weldon) Blackwood; grandchildren Marissa, Wanan, Summer, Ivan and Amber; sisters Loretta Haight and Diane (John) Comeau

Besides her parents, Beverly was predeceased by her beloved husband Maurice Cyr; companion Eldon “Al” Doucet; and son John Cyr (infancy).

Interment to take place in the Madonna Cemetery. Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Local Animal Shelter.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
