Obituary of Alfred Ronald Messom

Alfred Ronald Messom, age 69 of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in the Valley Regional Hospital.  Born on January 12, 1951, he was the son of the late Ralph and Pearl (Meisner) Messom of Lakeville.

Alfred could always be found working on vehicles or tinkering with some project around the house.  He was a “Jack-of-all-Trades”.  He enjoyed friends and family stopping by to visit in the garage, as he definitely had the gift to gab.

He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jean (Stevens) Messom; sons Calvin (Shelly) Messom, Wilmot; Ricky (Cheryl) Messom, Kingston; daughter Tanya (Jody) Margeson, Kingston; grandchildren Christopher, Kerri, Rebecca, Kevin, Mark, Colton and Gracie; and brother Louie Messom, Lakeville.

Besides his parents, Alfred was predeceased by his brother Henry Messom of Woodville.

The family would like to thank the staff on Medical A at Valley Regional Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness.

In keeping with Alfred’s wishes, there will be no funeral service, however there will be a veiwing for family and friends will be held in the Berwick Funeral Chapel.
