Obituary of Albert Cecil Hatfield

Albert Cecil Hatfield, 89 of Truro passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Born in Truro, he was the son of the late John Leonard “Happy” and Sarah “Sadie” (McInnis) Hatfield.

Albert was a long time CNR worker who, in his retirement, loved to donate his time to the Truro Lions Club volunteering for many of their charitable causes.

Albert is survived by his siblings Jack (Diane) Ontario; Fred “Junior” (Frieda), Shorts Lake; Betty, Truro; his children Sharon Boutilier (Jim), Truro; Todd (Cheryl), Five Islands; Angie Jordan (Dennis), Prospect; Jeff (Debbie), Adelaide, Australia; Alechia Archibald (Peter), Bible Hill; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Albert was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Joan; daughter Amy Cox (Rollie); son Shawn; brother Billy (Valorie); and sister Charlotte.

Cremation has taken place, and no service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to  Hope for Dementia (www.canadahelps.org). Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
