Dear Stephen and Sarah,
I was saddened to hear about your Mom's passing. We traded Christmas cards and letters every year and not receiving one this year felt that further inquiry should be made. Your Mom had lived at my Mom & Dad's home in Carleton Place, Ontario back when in the 50's when I was a young lad. She was employed by the Victorian Order of Nursing (VON) at the time and my parents had hosted a number of the nurses over the years. Your Mom was the only one that actually left Carleton Place with more than she came with, that being your Dad, Bert. They kept in touch with my parents over the years and of course your Dad's family was still in Carleton Place. I started communicating with your Mom after my Mom passed away in 1990 and we have communicated ever since. I will miss her annual Christmas letters. She was a wonderful person who always had that calming and friendly effect on everyone she met. She will certainly be missed. Our condolences to both of you and your families. .

Dear Joel and family,
Greg and I wanted to send our condolences for the loss of your grandmother/mother. I got to know her a bit at Parkland when visiting with my mother. They were often playing bridge and regardless of whether the cards were in her favor or not she was always so happy to say hello. She enjoyed hearing about what the 'kids' were up to (Joel and my daughter Jenna) and I'd bring her up to date on any activities I was aware of. It was obvious how much she loved and was proud of her family. I will genuinely miss seeing her big bright smile that always reached her eyes, and having our lovely chats.
Warm regards to all during this difficult time,
Karen and Greg McNutt
