Elsie “Bud” Marguerite Hiltz (Turner), 96 of New Ross, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2020 in Evergreen Home for Special Care. She was one month and one day shy of her 97 birthday.  Born in Fraxville, New Ross, she was the daughter of the late Lawson and Margaret (Roast) Turner.

Her working years were spent picking apples, one of her favorite jobs on several farms throughout the Valley.  Marguerite “Bud” always enjoyed a good game of cards, fishing, knitting, doing Find-a-Word puzzles and expecially reading her bible.  She was devoted to her faith and attending church was an important part of her life when she was able to attend. She also took great pleasure in travelling thoughout the Atlantic Provinces with her beloved husband, Clifton.

Bud is survived by her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Besides her parents, Bud was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Clifton; brother Leon and infant brother Francis.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Evergreen Home for Special Care and to all the past caregivers.
