Obituary of Faye Lucille Lenihan

Faye Lucille Lenihan, 84 of New Ross, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in the Valley Regional Hospital on Thursday, September 10, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Alice and George Naugler.

Faye was a devoted member of the Christ Anglican Church in New Ross where she joined the choir and church guild. She was a loving wife and mother to her children. She spent many years as a wonderful homemaker and an exceptional cook and baker. Faye was very well-known for her delicious apple pies and homemade bread. She enjoyed baking with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Faye truly adored them all. As well, Faye loved animals, especially her special boy Tucker and girl Molly. Faye also loved to sing and play guitar. She would often lay the guitar on her lap, strum a tune and sing along.

She is survived by her children Laird (Sarah), Michael, Christine (Chris) all of New Ross, Blake (Ann) Fort MacMurray; sisters Doris and Mary; brothers Morris and Billy; grandchildren Margaret, Kenneth, Ian, Adam, Rustin, Whitney, Matthew, Aaron, Devyn and Megan; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Faye was predeceased by husband Ivan; daughter Janice; sisters Madeline, Ella, Marge, Jean, Joy, Della, Patsy and a sister in infancy; brothers Harvey and Georgie.

Many thanks to her home care workers for supporting and taking care of Mom. Thank you to the doctors and nurses in the Valley Regional Hospital for their exceptional care.

A Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held Monday, September 21, 2020 at 2:30 pm in the New Ross Fair Grounds. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christ Anglican Church.
