Thelma Irene Walsh, 90 of Waterville passed away peacefully with her loving granddaughter by her side on Sunday, October 18, 2020 in the Grand View Manor. Born on May 22, 1930 in Falmouth, she was the daughter of the late Leigh and Eva (Benedict) Rockwell.

She was a devoted member of the Anglican Church and a flagbearer and lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona 69, Berwick. For many years, Thelma was a cake decorator at the Berwick Bakery, an avid bingo player and enjoyed reading romance novels.

Thelma is survived by her son David (Debbie) Walsh, Waterville; daughter Bonita Hart-Dorey, Waterville; grandchildren John (Tara), Kevin, Tyler (Kim) all of Waterville, Irene (John Hines), Aylesford; Jeffery (Krystal Deveau), Berwick; Patrick Hart, Waterville; sister Eunice (Carl) Doherty, Grand View Manor; brother Robert (Sharon) Rockwell, Waterville; great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Thelma was predeceased by her first husband George Walsh; second husband Donald Watton; brothers Gordon and Ronald; sister Jean Shepherd; son in infancy Beverly Eugene; great-grandchild Zachery Walsh; sons-in-law Bruce Hart and Henry Dorey; sisters-in-law Marge and Marian; brother-in-law Owen.

The family would like to thank the staff of Grand View Manor.

A visitation will take place on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 1:00 pm followed by a Service at 2:00 pm in the Berwick Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, NS, B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900).
