Obituary of Glen Dimock Davison

Please share a memory of Glen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Glen Dimock Davison, 69, formerly of Kingsport, quietly and peacefully passed away in the Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, on Monday, October 26, 2020.  Born on August 31, 1951, he was the third son of Madeline (Hutchinson) Davison and the Late Vernon Davison, formerly of Port Williams.

Glen always had a passion for outdoor adventures whether it be land, sea, or air.  In his younger years, he was an avid skydiver and later, enjoyed the thrill of sailing the boat he built off the shores of their home in Kingsport with his dear wife, Ruth.  Together they also enjoyed many outback camping adventures on islands near Mahone Bay and surrounding areas.  Music also played a huge part in Glen’s life, jamming with fellow musicians with his bass guitar and providing his sound system for several bands, events, and local talent at the Monday night jam sessions in New Minas, were special treasured memories.

Glen is survived by and will be forever deeply missed by his mother, ‘Madge’, Evergreen Home, Kentville; brothers Garth (Pat), Florida; Terry (Fran), Enfield; Rodger (Jackie), Cambridge; sister Jeannie MacIntosh, Avonport; daughter Jennifer, United States; many nieces and nephew, as well as extended family and friends.

Besides his father Vernon, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ruth (Murphy); son Jonathan; and brother-in-law, Fred MacIntosh.

Cremation has taken place and, at Glen’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A gathering for family and friends will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville, or the Canadian Cancer Society.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).

To a land where joys shall never end, I’ll fly away.
