Obituary of Isabel Jean Hurn

Isabel Jean Hurn (Scoville), 80 of Kentville passed away peacefully November 12, 2020 in the Valley Hospice in Kentville. Born on May 8, 1940 in South Ohio, Yarmouth County, she was the daughter of the late George and Georgina (Keating) Scoville.

Isabel was a lovely soul who loved the outdoors, feeding and watching her birds in her beautiful gardens and many feeders and when she was inside, she loved to read, cook and clean. She took great pride in her home and gardens and was an extremely hard worker.

Isabel will be dearly missed by her husband and best friend of 53 years, Anthony “Tony” whom she cherished right to the end. She is also survived by six sisters, two brothers and Tony’s dearest niece Valeria and her husband Chris, who lives in England.

Besides her parents Isabel was predeceased by two sisters.

Tony would like to give a special thank you to their neighbors Barbara Simmons and Kim Whynot who was there for Isabel while he was unable. He would also like to thank the doctors at the Valley Regional Hospital and at the Valley Hospice for their love and support and excellent care to Isabel.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations in Isabel’s memory may be made to the Covenant House, World Vision, or charity of choice. place in the compassionate care of Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2282).
