Obituary of Suzanne Elizabeth Kaulbach (neé DeCouto)

Please share a memory of Suzanne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Suzanne Elizabeth Kaulbach (née DeCouto), 75, of Somerset passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Wolfville, Nova Scotia on December 30, 2020. She is survived by her husband, James, of 40 years; sons Michael Mello and Kurt-James; grandsons Khiry and Shomari Mello; sisters Mable, Patricia and Marie; brother Herschel; nieces Linda, Carmen, Sharrie Lyn, Coral, Rachel, Sarah, and Rebecca; nephews Dwayne, Shawn, Gabriel, Ian, Daniel and Jared; and her beloved dog, Rocco. She is preceded in passage by her daughter, Sharrie Mello; mother, Elizabeth Buckley; father David; brother Terry and sister, Verinca Joan Lindo.

Sue was an everyday sweetheart whose radiance of warmth and empathy made her a mother, wife, sister and friend of the highest order. So raise a glass of Pinot Grigio to our best girl. Per her well-known wishes, Sue will be celebrated on the beach she ran to and played on as a child, and all friends and family will be notified in advance of that wonderful day. Sue contributed faithfully to a number of charities close to her enduring heart. Consider the times, the power of love, and give what you can to Bermuda’s Agape House. Your condolances are gratefully received by her husband, James at jk.kiskadee@eastlink.ca, and will be shared with the friends and family for whom she lived. “Honesty is the best policy. Be true to yourself. Take care of each other." Your family, friends and gardens will miss you dearly.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
