Elizabeth loved the outdoors and animals especially dogs, Tiny, Torque, and Luke. She had so many passions, she was a talented painter, sketcher, photographer, artist -a creative soul. She was a beautiful seamstress, loved her fabric -an original “Material Girl”. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, skating, golfing, and swimming. She really loved the ocean and walks on the beach. She was a member of the Penticton Dragon Boat team. Genealogy and family history were important to her. She was an experienced gardener and beyond a green thumb. Furniture refinisher and upholsterer. “If you want something done right do it yourself”. She loved music and was a great dancer. She had a funny sunny side. You always knew where you stood with her, she told it as she saw it. She listened and had great common-sense advice. - “If you’re going to do something do it right”. She enjoyed travel from Bonavista to Vancouver Island, Florida, Gloucester, New York, Alaska, and Germany. Hard work was in her genes: from her Nanny’s store “Alexander’s Grocery” in Halifax to communication for DND and telephone operator in Musquodoboit. She became a businesswoman and ran her own thrift store in the 60’s, hairdresser in the 70’s and 80’s. She designed and built three homes in Murchyville, Alton, and Brentwood NS. In 1999 she and Frank moved to Bermuda, later BC, then back to NS for retirement.

A woman of strength, a survivor more than once.

Always Mom. Responsible, Resourceful, Capable, Confident, Independent, Intelligent, and super intuitive.

Forever close in mind and spirit.
