Obituary of Mary Ada Ross

Mary Ada Ross, 88 of Cornwallis Park, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2021 in her home with her loved ones by her side.  Born in Antigonish, she was the daughter of the late John and Muriel (Horton) MacDougall.

“Mother was a social butterfly.”

She relished in the time spent socializing. Mary was a devoted member to TOPS, Red Hat Society, The Cornwallis Coffee Club, bowling and darts. Mary enjoyed her time she spent with the many friends she made through her clubs, but her most precious time was spent in the warm company of her family.

Mary is survived by her sons Donald, Edmonton, AB; Robert (Linda), Digby; Allan (Wanda), Cornwallis Park; Peter (Lucy), Whitby, ON; Steven (Brenda), Ottawa, ON; daughter Stacy (Kenneth), Pickering, ON; grandchildren Grant, Nickolas, Druce, Robin, Jamie-Lynn, Danielle, Sharon, Cera; ten great-grandchildren; brother John (Sheila), Bridgewater; sisters Betty, Dartmouth; Doris, Antigonish; Margret “Margie” (Edward), Sydney; Kathleen “Kay” (Alexander), Sydney; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth Ross and brother William (Betty).

A Memorial Service will be held on March 19, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Clementsport Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #122, interment will take place in the Maple Vista Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Annapolis Health Centre, P.O. Box 426, Annapolis Royal, NS B0S 1A0.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
