Obituary of Donald Keith Kidson

Donald Keith Kidson passed away peacefully on March 13, 2021.  Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Sydney and Stella (Baker) Kidson.

Don was indeed a very special soul and lived a meaningful life.  He truly appreciated the important things in life. His happiness was not derived by material things.  He loved his family and valued his many friends.  Don loved listening to his favorite music, enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his workshop (usually fixing things for others), fishing and an occasional glass of beer.  Don was someone that could always be counted upon, always there for his family and friends.  He was everything you could hope for as a father, grandpa, husband, uncle, brother and friend.

‘Known for his sense of humor, Dad could always make us laugh, and continued to do so until the very end.  Gifted musically he could play any instrument you put in front of him, and we often enjoyed his music around the campfire. He leaves us with many happy memories to cherish.  Our world will never be the same, and he will be missed every single day.’

He will be missed by his loving children Donald Jr., Peggy (Paul Terrio) and grandchildren Josette and Jarret Terrio.  He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Heaven truly has gained an angel.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Rose Marie (Harnish) of 57 years; siblings Roddie, Teddy, Frederick, Ray, Douglas and Jackie Kidson.

Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
