Obituary of Jean Campbell

Margaret “Jean” Campbell, age 93 of Wolfville passed away peacefully on April 2, 2021 in her home. Born in Ontario, she was the daughter of Norman and Margaret Barnes.

Jean grew up in a teaching and CNR family in SW Ontario. While teaching at Goose Bay she met her husband Malcolm and went on to live and teach in West Germany, Singapore and all over the UK. Returning to Canada after retiring, she lived in Ontario before moving to Nova Scotia, where she was involved with St. Andrews United Church in Wolfville (Orchard Valley United Church) for many years as librarian.

Her many interests included music, gardening, reading, railways, history, pets, quiz shows and books.

As the beloved matriarch, of her extended family, Jean was known for her generosity, sense of humour and caring spirit.

Jean will be lovingly remembered by her son Neil Forbes Campbell.

In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband Malcolm Richard Campbell (RAF Wing Cdr ret) and daughter Tara Jane Campbell.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
