Obituary of Rose Marie Button

Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Rose Marie (Foote) Button who gained her wings on May 23, 2021. Born in the year 1952 in Plympton, she was the daughter of the late Marion Celeste (Thibodeau) and George Chesley Foote.

Rose was many things throughout her life, a daughter, a sister, a wife and committed partner, a mother and a grandmother but will be remembered by most as Rose, the one who was always there to support others and make sure everyone else was ok, stepping up whenever she saw a need, not waiting to be asked, just knowing that she could make things better.
One note is the special care and comfort Rose was able to give to her mom during her final years The family will never forget the dedication and compassion that became such a big part of their relationship.

A lady of many talents, Rose was known throughout the community as a volunteer, singer and supporter of local talent, not afraid to try something new and making the most of the opportunity.

She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 42 years Mel Button; son Jason (Kim) Garden, grandchildren Trenton, Kella, Lincoln, daughter-in-law Sara and grandson Kole, stepson Jason, grandson Angus, granddaughter Jessy, stepdaughter Trudy, granddaughter Brittany, grandson Anthony and stepson Cameron, siblings: Owen (Diane), Martin, Gary, Rick (Louise), Stephen (Diane), Brian (Susan), Faye (Boyd) Haight, Brenda (Arnie) Reistad,  Donna (John) Bryson, Dean and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son Dallas, sisters Linda and Sheila (infant), brothers Dave and George. A date for Celebration of Rose’s Life will be announced at a later date.

For those left to carry on we could do no better than to honour Rose by caring for the people around us, greeting everyone with an open heart and stepping up when we see a need.
