Obituary of Myrna Kathleen Keddy

Myrna Kathleen (Marshall) Keddy, 86 of Forties Settlement passed away on October 17, 2021 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Falkland Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Hazel (Lantz) and Bamford of Falkland Ridge.

Myrna was quiet by nature, reflective and dependable. Focused on being a wife, mother and community member, she was adept at building and sustaining life in a small rural community. She was a consistently warm and welcoming presence for family, friends and neighbours. Myrna was skilled in handiwork, preserving and baking, known for her excellent bread.

She will be deeply missed by loving daughters, brother, nieces and nephews and her community of friends and neighbours.

She is survived by her daughters, Mona, Forties Settlement; Donna, Ottawa, ON; and Daisy (Michael Kaczorowski), Ottawa, ON; and her brother, Harold, Sarnia, ON.

She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas and brother Edward of Ajax, ON.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at The Forties Community Centre. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm in he The Forties Baptist Church. Interment will take place at the St. Augustine of Hippo Anglican Cemetery in the Forties. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Forties Anglican Cemetery or the New Ross Volunteer Fire Department.
