Obituary of George Kenneth Layton
Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
George “Kenny” Kenneth Layton, 78 of Coldbrook, passed away peacefully, after a long-fought battle with cancer and most recently a stroke, on November 25, 2021 in the Valley Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Chisholm) Layton.

He eventually became the sole owner before retiring to the Kentville area where he enjoyed spending his time riding his motorcycle, playing cards, and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his family, many friends, and his dogs. Ken had a passion for sports including hockey and baseball.
Ken will be remembered for his smile, big heart, and the way he lit up a room.
He is survived by his sister, Helen (Howie) White; his children, Kim (Kevin Clark), Scott (Sheryle), Nadeen (Jason), Breanne (Andrew), and Steven (Destiney); grandchildren, Amanda, Justin, Dakota, Brett, Taylor, Bryce, Devin, Phil, Sophie, Amelia, Ace, and Cruz; great grandson Louis; and niece Marguerite Brown, nephews, Dominique White, Ken Keeping and Joe Keeping.
