We sadly announce the passing on March 10, 2022 of our beloved wife and mother, Josephine Florence McKay. Born August 5, 1933 in Dartmouth, she was a daughter of Olive and Stewart Boutilier.

Josephine grew up on Windmill Road, attending Park School before going to Bicentennial High where she met Donald. Donald attended Hawthorne School before Bicentennial and Jose always teased Donald that Park School had better athletes. She enjoyed golf, tennis, baseball and had many trophies from her bowling leagues. Josephine deeply loved her family and spent a large portion of her life caring for her daughter Nancy, but always found time to attend her boys' sporting events. She loved to travel down south and enjoyed Woodlawn dances with her husband Donald.

She was predeceased by her parents; her special son, Marty; sisters, Ella Kilby (Martin) and Olive Barnstead (Charles); and brothers, Ben Boutilier (Jo) and Lloyd Boutilier (Simone).

Though she will be sadly missed, her family will live with all the love she left behind!! WE LOVE YOU MOM!!!!

Josephine is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Donald; her sons, Howard and Joseph; daughter, Nancy; sisters, Selena Ford (Fred) and Doreen Stone; as well as grandchildren, Jarrett (Jennifer), Jason (Melissa), Jonathan (Melissa), and Reign (Kiera); great-grandchildren, Jason Jr., Jazmine, Josh, Jett, and Judd.

Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
