Obituary of Barbara June Rhyndress

Barbara June Rhyndress, 71 of New Ross, unexpectantly passed away on March 18, 2022 in her home. Born on May 2, 1950, in North Bay, ON

Barbara will be fondly remembered as a hard worker for Chester Plastics for a number of years, a helping hand wherever one was needed, and a lover of all living things. With her green thumb, she got a lot of enjoyment out of looking after her jungle of plants throughtout her home. And she also enjoyed feeding the flock of hummingbirds that would return to her home every year to visit for the summer.

Cherished by all who know her, Barbara was a kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tina Rhyndress (Chris); grandson, Cole Levy, both of Chester Basin; sisters, Catherine McDow, Chester; Dolores (Barry) Eisnor, Chester Basin; Beverly (James) Clark, Dartmouth; Marilyn Rhyndress, Halifax; Laura Rhyndress, Halifax; Sharlaine “Lainie” Rhyndress, Peterborough, ON; Patricia McNeil, Toronto, ON; brothers Donald Rhyndress, Maitland; John (Linn) Rhyndress, Cornwall, ON; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gerald Russell; and sister, Carol McDow.

There will be a private graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or hang a hummingbird feeder in memory of Barb.
