Lovett “Bud” John VanTassell, 91 of Cornwallis Park, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Born October 14, 1930 in Digby, he was the son of the late Gerald and Lillian (Morrison) VanTassell.

Lovett is survived by his beloved wife, Elva Mae (Bremner); his two boys, Gregory and Robert; granddaughters, Sarah Rose Baker, Lilly Mae, and Alexandra VanTassell; great-grandchildren, Johnny and Thomas; sisters, Carol, Sheila, and Jean; brother, Bing; and nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Lovett was predeceased by his brothers, Warren, Joker Babe, and Sony; sisters, Sharon and Dian.

Cremation has taken place and by request there will be no service held. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, NS B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
