Obituary of Gordon Richard McIlwrick

Gordon “Gord” Richard McIlwrick, 65 of Greenwood, passed away on November 27, 2022 in Greenwood. Born in Kingston, ON, he was the son of Thomas and Flora (Creamer) McIlwrick.

Gordon was a 32-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and after retireing continued working for CFB Greenwood as a civil servant for 15-years as a mechanic, totaling 45-years of service to his country.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife Ghislaine (Richard); son, Shawn; daughters, Michelle and Lisa; grandchildren, Anna and Marie; brother, Thomas; and sister, Mildred.

As per request cremation has taken place and there is no service. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
