Obituary of Blaine Henry Bezanson

Please share a memory of Blaine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Blaine Henry Bezanson, 70 of Kingston, sadly passed away suddenly on January 24, 2023. Born in the “old” Berwick Hospital on November 20, 1952, he was the son of the late Henry and Audrey Bezanson.

Blaine spent his childhood attending the Aylesford Elementary School and then on to West Kings District High School. In his teens, Blaine worked in the Mess Hall at CFB Greenwood when the Cadets were in camp. He later worked in the Pavement and Grounds section, from laborer to foreman before retiring in 2007.

Either listening to music or performing in several dance bands all over the province, Blaine absolutely loved music. He started playing when he was 19 years old and continued up to recent years.

Blaine was a proud and active friend of Dr. Bob and Bill W. He has been greatly inspired to give service back to his community.

Blaine is survived by his loving wife of 42-years, Nancy (Sabean) Bezanson, Kingston; sister, Marlene Bezanson, Dartmouth; and adopted son, Marty Bezanson, Moncton, NB.

Special thank you to many loving and helpful friends during this trying time.

A Visitation will take place from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a Service to follow on Friday, February 3, 2023, both in the St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Auburn. Please wear a face mask while inside the church. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the North Kingston Community Centre, Diabetes Canada, or your local SPCA.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
