Barbara Yvette Oickle Obituary

Barbara Yvette Oickle, 86 of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023, at Queens General Hospital.  Born November 13, 1936, in Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late John Foster and Marie Hazlet; and was the last survivor of her siblings.


Barbara worked a few jobs in her life, but most memorable was her long standing career at Queens Manor, from it’s opening in 1981 until her retirement.  She enjoyed gatherings with friends and family at her cabin, loved fishing, and celebrating the Christmas Holidays.


Barbara is survived by children, Jackie (David), John (Shelley), Harvey (Cindy), and Steven (Karen); grandchildren, Trevor (Brandy), Darcy (Barbara), Jeremy, Nicole (Steven), and Jacob (Leigh-Ann); great-grandchildren, Chanelle (Matthew) and Fisher; great great-grandchild, Avery;  as well as many nieces and nephews. 


In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by husband of 68-years, Otis Oickle. 


The Family expresses their gratitude to the Staff at Home Care, Queens Manor and Queens General for their exceptional care and service.


Cremation has taken place and by request, there wil be no visitation or service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home New Ross Funeral Chapel, 4935 Hwy #12, New Ross, B0J 2M0 (902-689-2961).
