Obituary of Sheldon Burton Hannam
Sheldon Burton Hannan, age 65 of Bridgetown, passed away on April 7, 2023, in the Valley Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Hayden and Kathleen (Chute) Hannam.
Sheldon always greeted his many friends and acquaintances with a smile. For the last number of years, he worked for Rice VJ Concrete, where he made many good friends. Sheldon relished the time spent with friends riding his Harley Davidson bike and ski-dooing. He was a member of the Harley Davidson Rider Memorabilia Club and the Restoration of Old Cars Club.
Sheldon loved singing and playing his guitar at jam sessions and festivals in various communities and was a member of the Bluegrass Association. He adored animals, specifically cats and dogs, spending many hours with Jacqueline’s dog, Bobbie. Sheldon relished camping and playing cards in the motorhome with James, Cathy, Alice, and Larry.
Sheldon is survived by his brother-in-law, Henry Chute (Bertha Benoit); brother, Steven (Beverly) Hannam; niece, Kimberley; nephews Kenny and Michael; girlfriend of six years, Jacqueline Kendall.
In addition to his parents, Sheldon was predeceased by his sister, Sharon.
Cremation has taken place and by request, there will be no service. Interment will take place at a later date in the Hampton Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Liver Foundation.
