Obituary of Donna Faye Trider
We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother, Donna Faye Trider, on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023. Born in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha.
Aside from being a daughter, mom was also a beloved wife, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother. Along with her biological children, Mom had many honorary children too. Always wanting a house full of kids, many of our friends were “adopted” and became a part of the family.
Mom accomplished a lot in her lifetime, but her greatest accomplishment was opening her own hairdressing business. She welcomed many people into her shop, Donna’s Family Hair Design, and touched so many lives.
Donna is survived by her husband of 42-years, Jerry Trider; son, Jeff Campbell; daughter, Sydney Trider; honorary daughter, Jen Winsor; granddaughter, Keirsten Campbell; grandson, Tanner Campbell; sisters, Diane (Don) Gough, Margie Spencer, Harriet Umlah, and April Crocker; brothers, Wess (Teresa) Rudolph, Charlie (Cheryl) Rudolph, and Stephen Rudolph.
Donna was predeceased by her parents, John and Bertha; and her brothers, Burton and John.
There will be no service by request. Donations in her memory may be made to the IWK Health Centre Foundation, or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
