Douglas Marshall Tracey, age 73 of Kentville, passed away on May 1, 2023, in the Valley Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Rosie and William (Bill) Tracey of Wolfville.
Douglas was a hard worker and had several jobs throughout his life. One of his many careers included being a carpenter, he was one of the people who worked on the renovations to the old Kentville Courthouse when it was turned into a museum.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Shirley (Harvey); sons, Barry (Dana) Tracey, Petite de Grat, Cape Breton; Keith Tracey, Kentville; grandsons, Brandon Tracey and Dylan Tracey, both Petite de Grat, Cape Breton; twin brother, David, Grandview Manor; and sister, Cheryl Smith, Yarmouth; brother-in-law, Sheldon Harvey, Steam Mill; sisters-in-law, Norma Webster, New Minas; Elsie Tracey, Port Williams; and Ladene Weir, Greenwich.
In addition to his parents, Douglas was predeceased by sisters, Gladys Jodrey, and Carol Tracey; brothers, William (Billy) Tracey, Darrell Tracey, and Richard Tracey.

Cremation has taken place and by request, there will be no service. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
