Died at age 83 in Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville with her family by her side.


Born in Wolfville and raised in Avonport, NS, she was the daughter of the late Werner and Eva (MacIntosh) Urban.


Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard “Dick” Doucet, Kentville; daughters Anne (Bil) Scott, Somerset, NS; Jane Doucet (Craig Pothier), Halifax, NS; Clare (Hugh) Munroe, Egerton, NS; grandchildren Eleanor Scott (Chris Rideout), Moncton, NB; Sarah Munroe (Jake MacKinnon), Trenton, NS; Matthew Munroe, Egerton NS; siblings Walter Urban and Deanna Urban, Avonport, NS; foster brother Bruce (Nan) Smith, Port Williams, NS; foster sister Pat (Monty) Pelletier, Dartmouth, NS.


Thank you to Dr. David Nunn and nurse Janice for their devoted care over many years.


There will be no visitation by request. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Kentville, NS. Masks will be required at the service. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. There will be a reception at the Church following the service.
