Leroy “Roy” Appleton Cleaves, 80 of Moschelle, passed away June 12, 2023, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. He was born in Annapolis Royal to the late Russel and Dorothy (Wile) Cleaves.

He enjoyed hunting, working in the woods, fishing, gardening as well as a good game of crib or darts over a “cold one” with his friends at the local establishment. He will be fondly remembered for his annual summer family party, at his home in Moschelle.
Roy is survived by his son, Lonnie (Catherine) Cleaves, Cleveland, Ohio, USA; brother, Michael (Brenda), and sister-in-law, Peggy Robinson, both of Moschelle; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and his special companion, Mindy the cat.
In addition to his parents, Roy was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Olive, and his brother, Donald.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date in St. Alban’s Anglican Cemetery, Lequille. Donations in Roy’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
