Obituary of David Alan Hiltz
David Alan Hiltz, age 49, of Kentville, passed away on November 5, 2023 at home.
Well known by the community as “Pee Wee”, David was a jack-of-all-trades and a friend to many. He was always there when you needed him, and sometimes even when you didn’t. David could always be seen working on his truck and 4-wheeler throughout town; or any other vehicle he came across that needed fixing.
“His endless texts and and phone calls will be missed.”
David is remembered by his sisters, Dawn Leslie, New Glasgow; Tammy Szwed (Mike), Coldbrook; and Angela Hiltz (Phillip), Halifax; step-father, Cecil Kane, Centerville; grandmother, Dorothy Peterson, Berwick; step-brothers, Timmy Kane, Kentville; and Dana Kane, Kentville; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and especially by his kitty, Rosie, who he named after his mother.
David was predeceased by his mother, Rosalie Kane; father, Richard Hiltz; maternal grandfather, Roy Peterson; and paternal grandparents, Florence and Perry Hiltz.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. Memorial donations may be made to 3322048 Nova Scotia Limited (8896 Commercial St., New Minas, B4N 3C8).
