Obituary of Joan Marie Hamilton
Joan Marie Hamilton, age 82 of Hillsburn, Annapolis County, passed away on February 1, 2024, in Annapolis Royal. She was a daughter of the late Borden and Pauline (Robinson) Longmire.
Joan was the owner and operator of Joan M. Hamilton Bookkeeping Service and Especially for Your Greenhouses. She also volunteered in many organizations along with her husband, Layton. Joan’s greatest love was her family.
Joan is survived by her husband, Layton Hamilton of Hillsburn; daughters, Cathy (Clyde) Millner of Upper Clements, their children Chad, Devin, Matthew, and their families; Wendy (Lloyd) Cook of Lequillle, their children Joseph and Victoria, and their families; sons, Pernell (Victoria) Hamilton of Parkers Cove, their children Ashton and Kirk, and their families; and Cameron (Tammy) Hamilton of New Ross, their children Evan and Carley, and their families; sister, Judith (Roger) Vidito of Parker Mountain Road; brothers, David (Patsy) Longmire of Hillsburn, and Keith (Phyllis) Longmire of Hillsburn.
In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by brothers, Clyde and Leon.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service wil be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
