It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Fay Jean Manning (Mah), 77, of Halifax, who passed suddenly on March 22, 2024. Fay was born in Halifax, to King Mah and Pearl Elizabeth Mah (Wilson).

She is survived by brothers, James Mah, Henry Mah, Phillip Mah, and Arthur Mah; sisters, Catherine Newberry (Mah), and Tammy Feener (Mah); sons, Jamie Croft, and David (Anna) Croft; daughters; Tammy (Michael) Neath, and Chris (Ron) Croft; grandchildren, Terry (Ashley) Neath, Tina (Cody) MacDonald, and Angelica Croft; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her kitty Misty Blue who she loved dearly.

She was predeceased by first husband, Gerald Frances Croft; second husband, Fred Manning; father, King Mah; mother, Pearl Elizabeth Mah (Wilson); brother, Roy Mah; sisters, Edith Mah and Rose Marie Webber (Mah).

In Fay’s retirement she enjoyed taking trips with family, testing her luck at the casino, playing some bingo or cards, and having family gatherings enjoying some barbeque. She could often be found behind the wheel on drives, or indulging in her love of sports, especially the blue jays, and golf.

The family would like to thank hospital staff at the Halifax Infirmary for all their care and compassion during the time they were involved with Fay’s care.

A Celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
