Obituary of Elaine Mae Stahlbaum
Elaine Mae Stahlbaum, age 84 of Berwick, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, at home. Born in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Florence Schnare.
Elaine was a jack of all trades. In addition to working as a waitress, she also worked at Artex, Frog-n-Box, Beautiful Bags and Simplicity while in Cambridge, Ontraio; as well as at Efemol in Kentville. To pass the time Elaine enjoyed sewing, fishing, baking, reading, doing puzzles, and playing cards. She was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 272 Cambridge, Ontario and Branch 69, Berwick.
Elaine will be remembered by daughter, Janey Lou (Peter) Rigby; son, Neil (Jane) MacIntosh; grandsons, Zachary Rigby, Brett MacIntosh, and Brian MacIntosh; sister, Grace (Avard) Brown; sister-in-law, Marg Schnare; brother-in-law, Richard Corkum.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Clarence “Tiny” Stahlbaum; daughter, Karen MacIntosh; brothers, Bill (Marie) Schnare, Harold (Barb) Schnare, and Clarence “Bus” Schnare; sisters, Emma (Ken) Hamilton, Cora (Arnold) Crocker, and Marguerite Corkum.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69, 232 Main Street, Berwick. Interment will take place at a later date in the New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge, Ontario. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69, Berwick, or charity of choice.
