Obituary of Joyce Fox Reeves
It comes with great sadness to announce the passing of Joyce Fox Reeves (Ventress), 87, On May 2, 2024. Born in North Yorkshire, England on August 25, 1936 to the late John “Jack” Fox and Eva Violet Ventress (Bains)
“Joyce will be deeply missed by those who knew her and loved her”
Joyce had a love for baking, it was her favorite thing to do. She loved sharing all of her homemade goods with those she cared for. Having raised four children plus her granddaughter, Joyce’s home was always open to welcome friends and family for a cuppa and a goodie! Joyce loved being able to retire in Nova Scotia.

Joyce is survived by her granddaughter Eva (Phillip) Gagnon (Coldbrook); son, Stuart (Karen) Reeves (Calgary, Alberta); daughters, Helene Reeves, (Ontario) and Christine Dickson, (Ontario); daughter-in-law, Robin Reeves (Ontario); grandsons, Justin Reeves (Calgary) and Jason Reeves (Calgary); great grandchildren, Thera, Meredith, Paige, Nikko, Kayen, and Abel; and brother-in-law, Malcolm (Dorothy) Reeves (Hull, England).
In addition to her parents Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband of 70 years Edward “Ted” Reeves, her son Nigel Reeves as well as all 12 brothers and sisters.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Grandview Manor – Franey Unit for their care and compassion.
No service will take place as per Joyce’s Request. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
