Obituary of Frances May Oikle
Frances May Oikle, 94 of Digby, passed away June 13, 2024, at Tideview Terrace. Born in Rossway, NS on October 11, 1929.
Fran had many passions she enjoyed, such as gardening, she had a green thumb and it showed in her beautiful house plants, when she wasn’t in her garden you could find Fran in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Fran could also be very crafty, especially when it came to rug hooking, she hooked rugs for many years and her family and friends loved receiving them as gifts. Fran took comfort in spending time with her cats, although, most of all Fran valued the time she spent with her family.
Fran is survived by her sons, John (Brenda) Oikle, Timothy (Vicki) Oikle, George (Sandra) Oikle; grandchildren, Craig (Anne Marie), Jeff (Kelly), Mark (Sue), Todd (Theresa), Tara (Mark), Erin, Dustin (Barbie), Morgan, and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Nash, Boe, Sage, Keith, Apostopher, Meridian, Redi, Clayton, Carter, Kayla, Blake, Brook, Christian, Brady, Benson, Brandon, Jacob, Sadie, Evelyn
Fran was predeceased by her husband, Donald Kenneth Oikle; Sisters Ida, Helen, Lillian and, Ethel; Brothers William and Frankland, as well as her half-sister Mildred.
